Digipost is a secure and closed infrastructure for communication between businesses – both private and public – and individuals. All business and private accounts are verified with electronic IDs, preventing the creation of false accounts.
How we work with security
All documents sent through Digipost are protected both during transmission (in transit), and when stored in the recipients’ mailbox (at rest). Documents are encrypted using strong encryption algorithms so that only the sender and recipient can view the content of the documents being sent.
Backups
Continuous backups of documents are stored at multiple locations to ensure they are not lost in unforeseen events.
Routines and access
We adhere to secure development practices and operate in a secure environment with strict access restrictions.
Traceability
We have good traceability and continuous monitoring of our systems.
Continuous assessments
In Digipost, we continually assess security mechanisms against industry standards.
Privacy and GDPR
Our customer’s and users’ privacy is paramount to us. When using Digipost, no personal data or documents will be stored outside of EU/EEA. To read more about how we handle personal data, please see our terms of agreement for businesses, and our privacy policy.
Encryption
Digipost stores its data in the cloud, but we maintain full control over all encryption keys. Consequently, our cloud provider will never have access to users’ data.
Phishing
A key condition for phishing to succeed is the culprit’s ability to impersonate trusted businesses or services. This is not possible in Digipost, in comparison to open and insecure channels such as SMS and email.
Also, we do not send links to our services when notifying recipients of new mail, neither via SMS nor email.
